Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Ard Mhacha
This week saw the first of two Malachy McGeeney Blitzes for our section. Our team travelled to Whitecross to compete against St Teresa’s Tullyherron, St. Malachy's Ballymoyer, St Laurence O'Tooles Belleek, St Micheal’s Clady, St Oliver’s Carrickrovaddy and St Micheal’s Newtownhamilton – this was the largest blitz in recent times of our section with a total of 96 children participating.
All games were very competitive and our team showcased some of the skills passed on to them by their coaches from both Tuesday GAA coaching and after school GAA sessions on Wednesday’s.
We thank Mrs S McCourt, Principal of St Teresa’s Tullyherron for co-ordinating this blitz, both referees for giving up their time to officiate, Mr Terry O’Hanlon & Whitecross GAA for allowing us the use of their facilities and finally to Patsy Finnegan for being ever present on camera duty.
